My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
My favorite tattoo is actually one of my smaller ones. I have a quote on my feet that says "Only through struggle have I found rest" [Yes, it's an As I Lay Dying song]. It was not only more painful than most of my tattoos, but is a reminder of a very traumatic moment in my life that I was able to overcome without anyone else's help.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
Hahaha well, I was about 15 when I got my first tattoo. I was doing a study abroad trip to France and Spain in high school and they gave us free time to roam the city. So, naturally, my friends and I head to nearest shop and get some piercings and tattoos.
My next tattoo
My next tattoo will mean more to me than any tattoo I have or will ever have. My brother passed away in September of 2011 and I am getting his art tattooed as a back piece. There was a cross that he drew on everything so I am copying the exact design and putting his name and dates around it. I'm also putting headphones over the cross arms because he loved music and was an amazing breakdancer. He had cardiovascular disease so there is a point that I incorporated a heart monitor and underneath it says "Just Beat It" [he also idolized Michael Jackson and his sweet dance moves].
